AMARILLO XTREME BEACH VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM
2026 Beach Season is almost here!!

2026 Beach Coaches:
Kristin Anderson: Has coached in HS volleyball 7+ years and still currently coaching HS locally. She has also coached club volleyball with Amarillo Xtreme for 8+ years leading several teams to successful finishes each year. She is very high energy, passionate about players learning at every level and will push your player in all aspects of the game.
Tatum Brandt: Played indoor at Randall HS winning 1 state championship and went on to play indoor in college x 1 year at Colorado School of Mines. She has coached indoor club approximately 4 years with players showing strong finishes each year. She has also coached beach volleyball at Amarillo Xtreme for 2 years.
Taryn Galt: Played at Tascosa HS and then went on the play in College at SWOSU x 5 yrs. She has coached indoors club x 2 years and also coached beach x 1 year.
Jada Permenter: Played indoor volleyball at Bushland HS winning state x1 and a second place finish x1. She is currently playing college volleyball at SWOSU as the libero. Jada has also played beach volleyball for several years while in HS and attended the USAV National Beach Tourn. x 2 years.

2026 Season:
Summer Session: May 4th - July 8th
No registration required for practices, you may just show up and attendance will be taken at each practice. Practices will be at John Stiff Park sand courts (4800 Bell St.) starting May 4, 2026. Practices will be every Mon. and Wed. 6-7:30pm weather permitting. We will start a group me for all that wish to join so alerts and changes can be communicated accordingly. You may also text 806-335-6554 to check for updates if not a part of the group me. Payment is required at each practice (see below).
Ages: 10-18 yr olds
Cost:
$225 May 4th - May 31st* (8 practices)
$225 June 1st - June 30th* (9 practices)
Or $30 per practice attending
July practices will be $30/practice - 3 practices (anyone is still welcome to attend regardless if attending national tourn.)
*Monthly fee includes discounted rate per prac and a club beach tank top
** Additional tank tops $25 each
Proposed Amarillo Xtreme Sand Tournaments: (will need USAV number only if accepting a BID to nationals)
May 16th -- 12s, 14s, 16s, 18s
May30th -- 12s, 14s, 16s, 18s
June 13th -- 12s, 14s, 16s, 18s
June 27th -- 12s, 14s, 16s, 18s
*All tournaments will be held at John Stiff Park sand courts (3400 Bell)
** All tournament check in times will be at 8 am with play starting soon after
If going to attend a sand tournament:
Please register on tournament form below so we know to expect you and can contact you if weather changes. You can pay for tournament on our payments page ($100/team), through Venmo (@AmaXtreme) Tina Sims please put player name, or you may bring cash/check day of tournament at check in. You will not receive a confirmation once you register for tournament but we do get an email of your info. We will combine age groups as needed to fill tournament. (i.e. 12s w/14s, 14s w/16s or 16s w/18s)
Awards at tournaments:
1st and 2nd place will receive a regional BID to nationals in all ages groups but must have a current USAV membership that is presented at tournament check in. Also 1st and 2nd place medals will be given in every age group.
Partners:
Players are welcome to come as a pair or as a single player to our practices. Players that come as individuals can choose a partner that is available on tournament weekend or we will help pair you if needed, but it is up to the athlete to secure a partner and register their team for tournament. Practice will be geared toward individual skills and playing with various players so it is not necessary for partners to always show up to practice together.
Benefits:
Sand volleyball training helps with improving vertical, better court movement and court awareness, problem solving, and strength all while continuing to learn the game of volleyball with a few different rules in a more player run environment.
