AMARILLO XTREME COACHING STAFF
We have a staff of coaches with years of club experience that have merged to form Amarillo Xtreme Volleyball. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels a part of the team so both players and coaches can perform at their best. We have added to our talented coaching staff this year because of our growth and look forward to the new eyes and enthusiasm they will bring.
Tina Sims: Amarillo Xtreme Volleyball Club Director
Played HS volleyball at Tascosa High School and graduated in 1989 then went on to play at WTAMU 89-94 winning 2 National Titles in Div. II and a one third place National Finish. Graduated from WTAMU with BS and then attended Texas Tech University earning a Masters in Physical Therapy. Coached one season at River Road HS (jv). Coached various club teams for over 20 yrs. coaching various age levels over this time and began Amarillo Xtreme Volleyball Club 8 yrs. ago. Married to Scott Sims and have 3 daughters: Jalee, Ansley, and Mackenzie |
Tammy Reed:
Started playing volleyball when I was 5 with my older sisters. Fell in love with the sport and I began to live and breath it. Anytime I could get my hands on a ball I did. I started traveling when I was 9. Played for Randall and graduated and chose not to continue to play do to a shoulder injury. Attended and graduated from WTAMU. Coached a few recreational teams and coached powerball with Xtreme a couple of times. |
Brett Zaccardo - Club Team Sub Coach
Played volleyball at Bushland High School. (2013 All State Team, TGCA All State and Academic team, TSWA third team OH, All District, AGN Super team, 2 All-tournament teams, & Regional Newcomer of the year). Played 2 years at Texas A&M Kingsville. For both years she made the Lone Star Conference All Conference Team & All- Academic Team, Defensive Player of the Week and TAMUK Athlete of the Week multiple times, and set several school records as a libero. Brett has played in Nicaragua and Costa Rica while providing volleyball skills training to impoverished youth. Injuries sidelined her playing career & Brett is currently a senior at WTAMU. In addition to coaching, she conducts kids summer camps at the Amarillo zoo and loves to house and pet sit. |
